Our team brings university laboratory experience into a smaller company setting, where we can move quickly and stay closely engaged with each project. We specialize in mass spectrometry method development for drugs, diagnostic markers, challenging analytes, and their metabolites.

I am a Chemical Engineer focused more on analytical chemistry than manufacturing. My experience spans analytical chemistry, proteomics, software, and instrument service across academic and commercial labs. I started opticbiolab to bring high-quality testing—run on top-tier instrumentation—within reach of smaller organizations and the broader public.
Jaishree Mali
Analyical Chemist
I hold a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT) in Mumbai, India. Prior to opticbiolab, I conducted qualitative and quantitative LC-MS/MS analyses at the R.K. Coit College of Pharmacy, University of Arizona, in Tucson.
Jamie Young
Microbiologist
As Microbiologist at opticbiolab, I bring a B.S. in Microbiology and an M.P.H. in One Health from the University of Arizona. Across more than a decade in academic, clinical, and industry labs, I have built deep experience in microbiology and public health practice.
Armida Valencia
Facility Manager
Armida brings experience in finance and respiratory therapy. Her strong organizational skills keep opticbiolab running smoothly amid the day-to-day demands of a busy laboratory. This year she is upgrading our billing, accounting, and sample-tracking systems to support the continued expansion of opticbiolab's analytical services.
